Sexto Aniversario Konfort - EmmerichkSexto Aniversario Konfort

Thanks to everybody who showed up to our Sixth Anniversary party at El Pasaguero last night. You were an awesome crowd! To whose who missed the celebratory vibe downtown, we have started uploading some pictures to our flickr page. We saw loads of cameras around, so if you have some cool shots of the night, send them to us!

In other news, Nucleo Roto has been peddling glitchcore all over the Mexican underground for a while, but only now have they released a first document bearing witness to the Mexican horrorcore scene. The compilation CD features “Crack Ya Head” by good ol’ boy MHV.

More recent news! Mexican rock magazine Nuestro Rock mentioned Konfort amongst the second wave of Mexican independent labels (as part of a feature article on the subject). The current issue also features a review of our latest compilation Data, and a complementary CD. Now on newstands!

Now, if you are ever in Trinidad and Tobago, on the West Indies, in the Caribbean, do not forget to tune in Power 102 FM, where Sean Edwards has been spinning some Konfort tracks. Sean produces and conducts “The Transglobal Express” a weekly world music radio show from Port of Spain. Or catch him at one of his popular DJs stints. Buy him a drink and say ‘hi!’ from us!

Sixth Anniversary

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

On September 21st, punished by the “no-alcohol” decreet in place for the day in Mexico City, Konfort Records released its first two compillations: Míminas Texturas 001 and Máximas Texturas 002, in a peerless event for the Mexican underground scene. The chosen site was the prestigious eX-Teresa museum. However, preparatory work for such an event went at least as far back as two years before, when Konfort was conceived as concept. Those two years were filled with dark coffee, numerous emails and phonecalls, sleepless nights, sequential drafts and sonic O.D. Everybody involved gave their best in effort and dedications. Before becoming seven, we have decided to review the first six years of our enterprise with an evening party within the Elektrovisiones festival in Mexico City.

SEXTO ANIVERSARIO
